Rhein in Flammen can be celebrated in 2020.
Frequently asked questions about the ship convoy
The Tourismus & Congress GmbH is the organiser of the ship convoy
How and where can I get a refund for my boat ticket/package?
Your contact person with regard to a refund is the respective (travel) organiser/agent through whom you obtained your ticket.
Is there already a regulation regarding the reimbursement of funds to service providers/suppliers?
In this context, the city has raised the question of reimbursement to the state government. As soon as new findings are available, these will be published.
Will Rhein in Flammen be made up for later in the year?
We are currently in the process of voting on this, and therefore no final statement can be made at this stage.
What are the economic effects of cancelling events with 1000 participants or more?
The consequences for the economy are and will be considerable. Whether the dynamics of the developments and the figures available in this context are only fragmentary, serious statements on the nature and extent cannot be made at the present time.
Why does the ship convoy not take place even though the individual ships carry less than 1000 people?
This is not possible because there is a direct connection between the shore event and the ship convoy. The latter has in its service description, besides the shipping as the main service, the illumination of the route through Bengal and the fireworks including the music-synchronized closing fireworks.
If the ship convoy were to be carried out in a detached manner, this would in all probability lead to large crowds of people forming in the Rhine floodplain and along the Rhine, among other places, to watch the convoy and the fireworks.
Rhine in Flames in Bonn
Bengal flares glow red, bathing the banks and sights between Linz and Bonn in a festive light. Beautiful mountains and castles look magical while the landscape is romantically staged. Surrounded by five fireworks displays, a fleet of around 50 illuminated ships travels from Linz to Bonn, where a musically synchronised fire spectacle provides the grand finale.
