Koblenz

Where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet lies one of Germany’s most beautiful cities: Koblenz. The Deutsches Eck, the cable car across the Rhine and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress are renowned far beyond the region and attract visitors from all over the world. A highlight of the city is the Koblenz Summer Festival ‘Rhein in Flammen®’, which is famous far beyond the country’s borders.

Lahnstein

One weekend, two venues, countless highlights!

 

From August 7 to 9, 2026, Lahnstein will once again transform into one of the most beautiful backdrops for Rhein in Flammen. Visitors can look forward to a weekend full of enjoyment, music, and special experiences—with live bands, street food, city tours, and, of course, the spectacular fireworks display over the Rhine on Saturday evening. In Niederlahnstein, the fireworks will be set off right in the Maximilians Brauwiesen area, and in Oberlahnstein, the sky above the Adolph-Kolping-Ufer will light up in vibrant colors.

 

The festivities will take place at two venues: at Maximilians’ Brauwiesen in Niederlahnstein and on the Adolph-Kolping-Ufer in Oberlahnstein.

Spay

The Rhine promenade, lined mainly with half-timbered houses, is simply beautiful and offers a magnificent view of Marksburg Castle on the opposite bank. This unique setting provides a breathtaking view of the Rhine banks bathed in Bengal lights, the passing convoys of ships and the fireworks.

A town where the splendour of the past is still visible today. From the Königsstuhl, which overlooks Rhens, there is a wonderful view of the town and the Rhine. The historic little town centre, with its half-timbered houses and an almost completely preserved town wall, invites you to take a leisurely stroll.

 

From the banks of the Rhine, you have a magnificent view of the Bengal-lit riverbank, the passing convoy of ships and the fireworks.

 

The St. Georg Scouts of Rhens invite you to Rhein in Flammen® on August 8, 2026, starting at 3:00 p.m. There will be cold drinks, coffee and cake, delicious grilled food, and LIVE MUSIC.

Braubach

Rhine in Flames 2026 – Braubach Programme

Programme (Free Admission)

 

Romantic half-timbered houses and the beautiful riverside gardens at the foot of Marksburg Castle – the only hilltop castle on the Middle Rhine never to have been destroyed – provide a truly spectacular setting for this breathtaking fireworks event.

From Braubach, you will enjoy views of the fireworks displays in Spay, Rhens and Braubach.

Important Information

Due to major engineering works on Deutsche Bahn's right-bank Rhine railway line, parking in Braubach is extremely limited. We kindly ask visitors to travel by public transport using the rail replacement bus services.

The following bus services are available:

  • From Koblenz to Braubach: Bus 1, Bus 540, Bus 910 and Bus 10x
  • From St. Goarshausen to Braubach: Bus 10x

Motorhome parking is also available directly along the Rhine.

The food, drink and market stalls open along the Rhine promenade. Visitors can look forward to a relaxed wine garden atmosphere and a wide selection of food and refreshments.

From 4.00 pm, the Braubach Business Exhibition also invites visitors to discover a variety of local businesses. In addition, the impressive Blue Peace Herds exhibition by Bertamaria Reetz will be open to the public.

From 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm, the team from Antenne Koblenz will provide musical entertainment with a live DJ and an uplifting selection of music.

 

From 8.00 pm

The live band Only Plan takes to the stage, keeping the celebrations going until midnight with lively music and a fantastic party atmosphere.

One of the evening's highlights is the spectacular fireworks display at approximately 9.45 pm, transforming the night sky above the Rhine into a dazzling sea of colour.
