Land Programme
Each town has devised its own special programme of land-based activities and delights visitors with a varied entertainment programme and the finest local cuisine and wines. The programme is rounded off by spectacular fireworks and one of the longest boat parades in Europe.
Koblenz
Where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet lies one of Germany’s most beautiful cities: Koblenz. The Deutsches Eck, the cable car across the Rhine and Ehrenbreitstein Fortress are renowned far beyond the region and attract visitors from all over the world. A highlight of the city is the Koblenz Summer Festival ‘Rhein in Flammen®’, which is famous far beyond the country’s borders.
The next Rhine in Flames® takes place from the 7th to the 9th of August 2026.

Spay
The Rhine promenade, lined mainly with half-timbered houses, is simply beautiful and offers a magnificent view of Marksburg Castle on the opposite bank. This unique setting provides a breathtaking view of the Rhine banks bathed in Bengal lights, the passing convoys of ships and the fireworks.

Rhens
A town where the splendour of the past is still visible today. From the Königsstuhl, which overlooks Rhens, there is a wonderful view of the town and the Rhine. The historic little town centre, with its half-timbered houses and an almost completely preserved town wall, invites you to take a leisurely stroll.
From the banks of the Rhine, you have a magnificent view of the Bengal-lit riverbank, the passing convoy of ships and the fireworks.

Braubach
Romantic half-timbered houses and the blossoming banks of the Rhine at the foot of Marksburg Castle – the only undamaged hilltop castle on the Middle Rhine – provide a unique backdrop for the fireworks display. You’ll have a view of the fireworks in Spay and Braubach.
Getting there
Visitors from out of town are advised to travel by public transport. Information on timetables and special services is available at www.vrminfo.de.
Parking
For guests of the Summer Night Festival arriving by car, parking spaces are available on the festival grounds next to the playground by the Rhine, on the street ‘Am Campingplatz’. These are located in the immediate vicinity of the festival site and offer plenty of spaces. There are also additional public car parks in Braubach, which are within easy walking distance. Parking at the Netto car park is permitted for a maximum of 90 minutes during market opening hours.
